The Royal Zoological Society of Antwerp, better known as ZOO Antwerp, is the best-preserved and award-winning nineteenth-century zoo in the world. It also manages ZOO Planckendael, Serpentarium and the Elisabeth Center Antwerp convention and concert centre. KMDA turned to Aviniti to equip the newly opened congress buildings.

Quick and accurate switching

The person in charge of KMDA ended up with Aviniti through discussions with another player in the audiovisual sector. The task was to deliver mobile and fixed devices for the various conference rooms, so they would be self-sufficient. The catch: it had to be done within a short period, and there were no detailed data on the expected occupancy yet.

Multi-functional quality

In their quest for a full replacement of the projection screens in the historical halls, the choice fell on the versatile dual vision Elpro tab tensioned: a stylish projection screen with an extremely flat tensioned fabric. The dual vision fabric provides extra flexibility as the projectors can be placed in front or behind the screen as desired. After a testing round with various projectors, the heavier models from the Epson laser series emerged as the best choice.

Audiovisual upgrades at University of Antwerp

On July 6, 2022, a devastating fire struck a university building in Antwerp. The former B and D building had to be completely rebuilt, and this presented a unique opportunity to integrate a state-of-the-art audiovisual infrastructure.
